The Romsey Shanty Crew
Romsey Shanty Crew is a friendly community group for anyone who enjoys singing, or would like to start.
We meet to sing traditional and modern sea shanties in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There are no auditions, no pressure and no need to read music. If you can speak, you can sing. We always welcome new members
My name is Nick Tann. I founded the crew and I run our weekly sessions.
Our weekly 8 – 9 pm sessions at The Cocky Anchor, 8 Market Place, Romsey SO51 8NB are on the 29th September and the 13th, 20th and 27th October.
This is our latest performance at this years Music in the City in Southampton
Lyric sheets are provided at every session. You can also download and print your own from the Shanty Lyric page, which includes Spotify links to the versions we sing.
