Romsey Shanty Crew meets every Tuesday evening between 8 and 9 pm in The Stables outbuilding which is behind The White Horse in Romsey.
My name is Nick Tann, I’m the founder and I run all the sessions on a Tuesday night.
We are a very friendly group of enthusiastic singers who always welcome new members.
The cost is £5 per session which I prefer in cash. You can pay as you go with no commitment, there is no joining fee and you can simply come as and when you want on a “pay as you go” basis.
There are no auditions in fact you don’t even have to be able to sing. You can just come along, join in and make new friends if you wish.
We do perform and have sung at The Beggars Fair (2024), The House at Home Pub (2024) and the Mayors Charity event at the Abbey (2025).You are welcome to join us in these performances but there is no pressure put on you if that is not for you.

I supply lyric sheets for you to to keep and you can also download and print your own from the Crew Shanty Lyric page here which also has Spotify links to each specific shanty so you know which version we sing.
